Reflected

My world reflected
And sinking away in twinkling black pools.
My time passing
Curved and in baby blue.
How your smiles move into your eyes,
And by how you see out of them.
You looking up,
Me looking down.
My little life.
How I disappear and fade into you.
How I feel smaller as my river approaches the ocean,
I’m spread out along the shores,
Like a streak of paint running dry.
Each new dawn a promise,
And how now I only care to watch the light shine on you.
And never knowing how that could make me feel so strong,
Losing myself and being split in two.
And how fearless,
When my only fears become yours.
To watch you go boldly with my breath held.
At the edge of my seat.
You sailing down your river,
And me watching my life pass in your eyes.
