I’ve been running from the lives I’ve left behind.
Vagabond orbiting the earth,
Following the lonely moon,
The one friend I know will be there to the end.
There’s more to life than seeing the world,
The moon knows that best of all.
How I want to teach a dog to swim,
Sit and watch the seasons turn,
Paint a windowsill for the birds.
But It’s hard to find home when running away from one.
I’m settling for anywhere I lay my head instead.
Existing in the darkness between the firefly lights,
Fading slow in the moonlight.
